BMW 3 Series Forum - Technical Talk on the BMW E46 Hey, I appear to have a built in hands free system in my e46, there is a microphone in the head lining behind a black panel and the Bluetooth module in the boot of the car.
Hi,
I have a 2003 BMW X5 (E53) 3.0 diesel SPORT and am trying to fit a Parrot CK3000 Evolution bluetooth & Connects2 CTPPAR008 installation kit to it to get :
1) Bluetooth for my phone
2) steering wheel control of my phone with factory fitted steering wheel controls.
Problem is : the installation instructions are ridiculous ! Nothing indicates which of the 4 (at least cables) to connect to what !
Is it behind the dashboard on the 16/9 GPS / radio / OBC screen ?
Behind the glove box ???
In the boot (trunk) under the spare wheel ?
I've dismantled all these and still can't work out what to connect to what.
I have photos of all this but if anyone has instructions (or good ideas !) on how to implement this, I'd very much like to hear.
Thanks,
John
